Privacy Policy

AfterSold ("we," "us") mails cards and letters on behalf of our customers. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect only what we need to write, print, and mail your cards, we never sell it, and we delete it when you ask.
Information we collect
When you order, we collect your name, email address, and the plan you chose. Payments are processed by Stripe; your card number goes directly to Stripe and never touches our servers. Stripe shares with us only your billing name, email, and payment status. You can read Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
To send your mailings, you give us details about your recipients: names, mailing addresses, relationships, and important dates such as birthdays or anniversaries, plus any personal message or notes you add. For Santa letters, a parent or guardian provides the child's first name, mailing address, and optional personalization details.
Our website stores your selected plan in your browser's local storage so the cart remembers your choice. We do not use advertising trackers.
How we use it
We use this information for one purpose: running your card and letter campaigns — writing, printing, addressing, mailing, scheduling around your dates, sending you receipts and mailing recaps, and answering your support requests. We do not send marketing to your recipients, ever. They are your people, not our audience.
What we never do
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your contact lists or your recipients' information with anyone for their own use. No exceptions.
Service providers
We share the minimum information needed with providers who help us operate: Stripe (payment processing), our print-and-mail partner (recipient name, address, and message — what's needed to produce and mail each piece), GitHub Pages (website hosting), Google Fonts (typefaces), and Cloudflare (scheduling infrastructure). Each receives only what is necessary to do its job.
Children
Our services are for adults. Santa letters are ordered by a parent or guardian, and the child's details they provide are used solely to create and mail that letter — never for marketing, profiling, or anything else. We do not knowingly collect information from children directly.
Retention and deletion
We keep your list while your subscription is active so future mailings go out on time. When your subscription ends, or any time you ask, we delete your recipient list. Email us at support@getaftersold.com from your account email and we'll confirm the deletion.
Your rights
You can request a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted at any time by emailing support@getaftersold.com. If you are in a region with specific privacy laws (such as California or the EU), these rights apply to you as required by those laws, and we will honor verified requests within the required timeframes.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for meaningful changes, note it in your next mailing recap email. Questions? Write to support@getaftersold.com.
